Fuel Tax Rises
Well said Amanda Lightfoot at Petrol Prices Blog
I subscribe to the petrol prices updates with the idea that why pay more than you have to for petrol. However, the pathetic attempt at a “vote” to pay more tax, yes or no, is just plain rabble rousing and shows that Brendan McLoughlin has mixed motives behind his sites. Which is a shame as since the fuel tax is the same, it hammers down onto the retailing slice of the price.
As an example, I suggest Mr McLoughlin has a nice shiny 4×4 that he uses to drive round town etc. Mysteriously, this article discussing the relative merits of differential road tax on different vehicle classes does NOT have a “vote” button whereas virtually ALL the other “chats” in his blog do.
