I’ve set up OpenDNS, http://www.opendns.com/ on my home router to give it a try.

This is for a few reasons:

  • To see what it’s like
  • To block out phishing sites globally.  This is a test at giving myself an extra layer of security without hitting the PC or router performance.
  • To block out gambling & dating sites and popups for the same
  • This is to stop any potential lodgers using up my bandwidth.
  • I can block out P2P as well as I found out but I need it to check copyrights

Use OpenDNS
If you yourself are set up with the system, the button will say “Sweet!” otherwise it’ll show a “Get Started” logo.
