Crawling Across Chaos and Time Without End
|
|
original from 1987 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYkcLmmUUgg Phil Collins ruins it! (I thought it was Fatso kicking in there) The lyrics are pulled straight from Black’s site. The chords I’ve stuck on as they sound best to me. There are quite a few versions out there so this is mine how I currently do it. Anyone who knows me will not be at all surprised that I currently play it as on acoustic 12-string guitar like “Zombie Dance” from my “Crawling Chaos” days. Givvus a while and I’ll release it! There’s a version on Colin’s site which has similar chords, down-tuned a semitone, and with a bass picking out a slightly different path. It’s well different to his original from the 80’s. This is a Strangely Perfect take on the track, as promised (added 6 March 2008). It’s the first thing I’ve put down since 1985… (Remixed with Gongyo Bell addition 18 March 2008) Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser. I’ve always liked it. It’s been in my head a lot recently, enough to get me to transpose it to paper! INTRO: Em G Em C D Em D G D Em
VERSE 1: Em G Here I go out to sea again Em The sunshine fills my hair G D and dreams hang in the air Em G Gulls in the sky and in my blue eyes Em You know it feels un-fair G D There’s magic every-where Em Am Look at me standing Em Am Here on my own again
VERSE 2: Em G The sun’s in your eyes, the heat is in your hair Em They seem to hate you G D Because you’re there Em G And I need a friend, oh I need a friend Em to make me happy G D Not stand there on my own Em Am Look at me standing Em Am Here on my own again
VERSE 3: Em G I need a friend, oh I need a friend Em to make me happy G D Not so alone Em Am Look at me here Em Am Here on my own again
