My mate ‘Zippy Len’ pointed me to these strange creatures. Looking half-pig, half-sheep, they could be called shigs or peeps but are actually curly-haired pigs! They are rare – in fact they nearly died out. They belong to Pig Paradise Farm, the home of all rare breeds! (contact them here.)
Maybe after looking at these, Alice might want to get into pigs again (as a child she had a fascination which knew no bounds). They are a breed called Mangalitza. Remember it as I think that they could be quite common in future, having several excellent cooking, eating and nutritive qualities apart from their cuteness and hardiness.
Alice is the forgotten middle child.

I remember when Alice loved pigs, and she wrote a school assignment, which showed how expert she had become in piggery (invented word). So thank heaven for little pigs. which grow bigger every day.
