I've just been looking at the staggering beauty of Armstrong's famous wonky shot of Aldrin which I haven't looked at properly for many years;
the stark shadows,
the blackness of space,
the absolute awfulness of the place,
the realisation that without their suits etc, they'd be dead in a few blinks,
the realisation that the single rocket motor had to fire (it hadn't been tested before, properly).

Gad. The moon's an awful place (paraphrasing Scott of the Antarctic).

Why would anyone want to muck up and sully our beautiful blue and green world?

We should look after it.
