Strangely Perfect Bridge
Spent most of the last few days mucking around with new hosting setup. The host is okay, I’ve just had a lot of trouble getting slightly more complex things done with the blogs (three going now) due to my lack of knowledge on Unix file systems, permissions etc and not having an easy way to manage the CHMOD stuff. I’m not sure if the various ways I’ve been doing it are doing the required changes recursively. The upshot of it all is that have had a few “clean sweeps” and just started from scratch as the full WordPress install and database setup is easy-peasy. This time, I’m going to be very careful at each step and change.
I’ve just put a little translator at the top right and the spam filter count about half way down. Now I’m going to follow the steps at http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/upgrade2two/ to backup before doing any thing else.
