Viv,I avoided the much-maligned Christmas letetr for YEARS. Too many people poke fun at them, and of course, there is much within them to make sport over even in my own.But like you, I found myself scribbling a few handwritten sentences, and unlike you, pretty much expressing the same thoughts twenty times. So one year I began to think that maybe a Christmas letetr would save me time. Hah! What was I drinking! What's good in concept isn't always in reality. My son tells me that my writing is too combed. Whether it's with fine tooth or wide, Kyle didn't say. But I sort of got the impression he thought I should just toss my writing comb in the nearest trash can.If we were to get to the heart of the matter, I think that's probably where I should deposit my pride first then maybe I wouldn't bother to think my words needed a comb at all sort of like a child who never believes their hair could be improved with a comb.Every year is a new adventure and I pray this year to write a little more freely so that the wind blows [through it] where it chooses .I have so enjoyed our blogging friendship. And I pray these words find you stronger than yesterday.Janell
