Today’s story of a record-breaking aeroairplane flight promises some real advances in the quest for environmentally sound energy and transport.

This really is good news!
Despite the military origin of the airplane, it uses a host of technologies that can be easily applied to transport and energy production.
It just shows that our human capacity for inventiveness remains undiminished and all that is really necessary to get ourselves out of this energy crisis of our own creation is political will.
That’s the only blockage, but despite that, I’m extremely optimistic about our future as a species.
As for the airplane, it’s only doing a task that is done in different ways anyway.
