Quoting Dave Henderson;
Of course, in this case, the worst possible thing for me, is being on the same page as a Genesis review… Amazon Related:

Digging through, I found this review notice of the original release of Sex Machine back in 1980… Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Related Posts by TagsI’ve just upgraded WP Super Cache.I use WordPress to generate and manage the webpages on this website. Useful features are that it is flexible with plugins and themes. You can do what you want.
After a niggly start where it popped up a red message saying I needed the wpfooter() function inserted into my theme, when I knew fine well that it was there anyway…. it works fine!
I have it set to cache every single post on the website! This is supposed to potentially hammer your server, but it only took a few minutes in reality and I’ve set a large time between cache rebuilds, so hopefully, Site 5, who’ve been very good over the past year, won’t mind… This way, all posts, when checked by a bot like the Googlebot, will be served from cache. ( Previously, the plugin only served a cached page to a user if someone else had previously viewed it between garbage collections ). Now, the bot will see any page, cached. I’ve checked, and the biggest posts take 8 secs to load and show for a unlogged-in user.
The benefit from a SEO view is because it’s now been reported that Google do speed tests on pages and will use this as part of their relevancy ratings when returning search results. My pages load a lot faster as they’re all cached, obviously. This also is good from a user usage viewpoint as well. Crawling ChaosThis plugin now works on the Crawling Chaos website that I also manage. Very well, I might add! Amazon Related:

You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser. No fuss.My old friend Jeff recently died. ![]() Waqqaz The track now playing was one of the last pieces we did together. It’s Jeff’s creation and is one of my favourite Crawling Chaos tracks. This is a pre-Waqqaz version from a cassette that has travelled round France, been in various glove compartments and cupboard floors. I’ve taken it straight from cassette and it’s encoded at the maximum bitrate for MP3 files in Reaper for your enjoyment. I’ve just used a noise gate set at -20dB and a bit of compression to follow in this extract. For me, the mix is better than the final vinyl one despite the 12kHz frequency cut-off.
I remember him sitting cross-legged on the floor at Bebside for about a fortnight getting the various harmonies planned out. My input was minimal and I just did a few block keyboard chords as instructed, to bulk out the end as well as the mixing on the guitars and the drums set-up. The real work was within the complex interlocking guitar parts, of which there are at least six, all played by Jeff. The only words I could think of came to me in a dream.
I ensured that they were on the penultimate bounce so that they couldn’t be removed. I didn’t know why, at the time, I thought of them (apart from the corniness) or why I strove to ensure their longevity. I instantly knew though, that this was Jeff’s finest work, for me, and I’ve listened many times to it since, mainly this cassette tape version.
So now I know why I woke up with those words in my head 25 springs ago.
Goodbye Doomage. Till next time. This is a copy of the page here: http://crawlingchaos.co.uk/e-y-e-s/ (any comments to there, please) Amazon Related:
Related Posts by TagsVia some Google Alerts I’ve got set up, I came across the weirdest definition of “Crawling Chaos” that I’ve seen for quite some time. This is the complete web-page on the right and it’s source, the link below: In essence, it’s a long list of weird photos; some disturbing, some funny, many thoughtful, not so many, dumb. Flipping through the site, I came across this photo at the left on this page, which in some respects demonstrates to me the Buddhist concept of “The Interconnectedness of All Things”. How else could I have found it?
Last week we had the welcome news that the gene code for some major cancers has been cracked (see Scientists crack ‘entire genetic code’ of cancer). This is one aspect of the human condition – to be fit and healthy. Another aspect of the human condition is to be sexy and to have sex. To talk about sex and think about sex. In fact, because unlike animals, which for the most part are tied to breeding cycles, we are sexual beings for most of our lives. Some people will do anything for sex or to appear sexy, and some will try anything…. This picture of the sexualised doll with dildo hands is a case in point, and it exactly parallels some of our “Sex Machine” lyrics that we wrote all those years ago. So apart from being “a laugh”, having a “driving rhythm” and a “fantastic guitar melody and solo”, the track “Sex Machine” is now all coming true. Many critics, of course, missed all of that, but then…they would, if they’re shallow. How prescient of us.
